Ive picked out baby girl names but im open to any ideas!?

Im 23 weeks pregnant with my first, my boyfriend likes Kendra Sue but i like Madison Joy which do you like better? Let me know if you have any other names in mind. Thanks!

Ive picked out baby girl names but im open to any ideas!?
That's kinda funny your name is Reyna b/c we had "Rayna Nicole" picked out for a girl, but I'm having a boy - Tripp Allen.

Anyway, I like Madison better than Kendra. I've always like girl names like Astrid, Fallon, and Willow as well. I suppose it depends how normal or unusual you want to go. My niece has a very common last name so my brother and sister in law gave her a more unusual first name, Emlyn.

Good luck and congrats!
Reply: Oh, Madison Joy is a really cute name. But have you considered Renee? Maybe Isabella... My cousin is having triplets, and they're all girls, so she's in the same situation. If you like names with two names in them, like your preference, you could stick with that, but if you are also looking for single names, you can go on Google and type in 'girl names', and lots of sites that are very helpful will definitely show up! There are some names, I'm not sure if you like, you can translate on Yahoo! Babel fish, like if you want a name that means 'star', maybe in French, it means 'Etoile'. Names that I like are Lola, Natalie, Rochelle, Beverly... I honestly like both your and your boyfriend's choices... good luck! I hope this helped!
Reply:You should take into concideration multipul things when choosing a baby name, such as:

Will she be made fun of due to this name?

It is a very difficult process when choosing a name that will stick to your beautiful baby for a wole lifetime, but if you let it, it can be a fun and rather exciting process.

More things you shoudld concider:

Namesakes. Exact reproductions of a person's name, even if it is followed by Jr. or II, are often confusing to everyone involved.

Namesakes can also lead to unfortunate name choices. Somehow the name Mildred just doesn't seem to fit a little girl as well as it does an eighty-year-old aunt.

Nationality. If you choose a "foreign-sounding" name, be sure it's not unpronounceable or unspellable, or the name will be a burden to your child.

Sounds. The combination of letters in a person's name can make saying the name easier or harder. Alliteration, as in Tina Turner or Pat Paulsen, is fine, but such rhymes as Tyrone Cohn or Alice Palace invite teasing.

Pronunciation. Nobody likes having their name constantly mispronounced. If you pick an unusual name, such as Genvieve (pron. Zhan-vee-ev), don't expect people to pronounce them correctly. If you choose a unique pronunciation of a name (for example, pronouncing Nina like Dinah), don't expect many people to get it right.

Popularity. Some names are so popular you shouldn't be surprised to find more than one child with that name in your child's classroom. A child with a popular name may feel that he or she must "share" it with others, while a child with a very uncommon name is likely to feel that it is uniquely his.

Nicknames. Most names have shortened or familiar forms that are used during childhood or at different stages of life. If you are thinking of giving your child a nickname as a legal name, remember that Trisha may grow weary of explaining that her full name is not Patricia.

Stereotypes. Most names call to mind physical or personality traits that often stem from a well-known namesake. Some names -- Adolph and Judas, for instance -- may never outlive the terrible associations they receive from a single person who bore them.

But keep it personal, and choose something you like.

Here are a few that I reccomend:

Mikaela

Cassidy

Delilah

Sophie/Sophia

Bell

Neveah (Note this is Heaven spelled backwards!)

Alice and

Viviana

Plus, you can change the spelling to your liking, have fun wih it!!!

But please remember, it's your baby, so you should name it whatever sounds the best for you. You don't have to take my suggestions, and the names you came up with are wonderful.

Good luck and my best wishes!!!
Reply:I think you should pick since you're the one having the baby. It seems you're going for an all american name. How about Emily,Anne, Isabelle (Isabella?), Emma, Ava, Sophia (Sofia), Hannah, or Elizabeth. Madison Joy is nice! Flower names are also nice, like Violet, Lily (Lilli/Lilly?)Rose, or Daisy.Seasonal and Month names are nice ex: May, April, June, and Autumn. Like Isabelle Rose, Violet May(mae), Lily Anne, etc. Hope you find the perfect name!!

P.S- this site might help!!

it's helped me find TONS of names when I write stories!!
Reply:I know it is very difficult to choose a name- but you can never go wrong with a name that means something to both of you- or one of your families... like someones maiden name, or the name of a favorite grandmother, aunt, etc.

Being born and raised a Stephanie in the 80's/90's... I know what it is like to always have to use your last name (or in elementary school- my last initial). I always wished for a new name that was a little more unique. My daughter is 4- and there are 3 Madisons in her daycare class (out of about 30 possible kids) and 1 in her preschool class of 26. I have 2 cousins who have named their girls Madison and 2 different couple-friends of ours have little girls named Madison. It is a very popular name that you might not want to go with. Or- maybe you and your boyfriend could think about possible nicknames you could think of for Madison or use Madison as her middle name? Good luck on your pregnancy!
